Building the Future is Our Tradition

In 1781, Carl Björnberg from Björneborg, Finland, applied and received a license to trade goods. He, and later his son Carl Fredrik, built a sizeable trading house with its own ships and later expanded into saw mills.

Timber was sawed and sold both in the domestic Finnish market as well as for export to mainly Sweden, Poland, the UK and Russia. In 1892, the grandsons of Carl Fredrik, Claes Henrique and Fredrik Geronimo started a wood chip mill at a rapids called Myllykoski. Myllykoski, as the company was called, grew into one of the leading publication paper producers in the world before it was sold in 2010.

Building on this family tradition, some 200 years after the original company was founded, Gustaf Johan Ricardo and Henrik Geronimo created Bjornberg1781 AG. A Sales Network. A Sales Company. Our focus is to get product to market efficently and with great service.

Building the future is our tradition.
